Mr. Blackmore’s Lifetime Fitness class is learning the game of croquet! 🏑 Beyond learning a lifetime activity they can enjoy for years to come, students are practicing patience, strategy, focus, sportsmanship, and communication. Is this a new tax?

Yes. The ballot asks voters to consider an increase of up to 1.18 mills.

This proposal is not described on the ballot as a renewal of an existing millage. If approved, it would create a new sinking fund for Au Gres-Sims School District.

Voters will decide the proposal on November 3, 2026.

What exactly is on the ballot?

The Au Gres-Sims proposal asks voters to consider a sinking fund of up to 1.18 mills for 10 years, from 2026 through 2035.

The official ballot language estimates that the district would collect about $376,824 in 2026 if the proposal is approved and levied.

The proposal will appear on the November 3, 2026 election ballot.
